1 day yoga retreat: a nervous system journey

My story
Thanks for being here.
I see you, I honor you, and I celebrate you for showing up for yourself. Whether you're just beginning your healing journey or have been walking this path for a while, know that you're not alone—you’re in the right place.
My own journey with yoga began like many others, but after completing my 200-hour training in 2023, I knew I was being called toward something deeper. Traditional asana practice wasn’t enough—I wanted to understand the why behind the emotional and physical shifts I experienced on the mat.
This curiosity led me to study the Polyvagal Theory, Nervous System Regulation, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. What I discovered wasn’t just a new way of practicing yoga, but a profound space for healing—both for myself and others.
Now, my mission with The Amuart Project is to normalize anxiety, stress, and trauma healing by weaving together yoga, neuroscience, and the wisdom of the Vagus Nerve and Chakras. This isn’t just something I teach—it’s something I live. And I’m honored to share it with you.
Are you ready to explore the healing potential within you? Let’s begin.

WHAT is
polyvagal inspired yoga?
At the heart of well-being is a regulated nervous system—one that not only allows us to feel grounded, calm and balanced in our bodies but one that offers flexibility to feel emotions like anger, rage and grief, all our range of emotions without suppression, this is what true safety is. Safe to feel = safe to heal!
When we experience stress, burnout, or trauma, this balance can be disrupted, making it hard to feel not just calm or connected, but any feelings or emotions within the present moment.
So, how can we restore regulation?
Our nervous system constantly scans for safety or danger and responds accordingly. Ideally, it moves smoothly between states of alertness and relaxation, but stress can leave us feeling stuck in survival mode—whether that’s fight-or-flight (anxiety, overwhelm) or shutdown (disconnection, numbness, dissociation).
How Polyvagal-Inspired Yoga Supports Healing
This practice isn’t about revisiting past trauma—it’s about building safety in the present. Through gentle somatic movement, breathwork, and mindful awareness, Polyvagal Inspired Yoga helps you:
✔ Educate through nervous system information
✔Recognize and understand your nervous system patterns
✔ Shift from stress or shutdown back to a state of calm and connection
✔ Strengthen your vagus nerve, improving your ability to recover from stress
✔ Cultivate a sense of choice, empowerment, and self-trust
An Invitation to Come Home to Yourself
No matter where you are on your healing journey, every part of you is welcome here. This practice meets you exactly where you are—guiding your body toward balance, resilience, and ease.
